La Ferreria has nine unique and lovingly designed rooms. All of them have extra wide beds with high quality mattresses (62 x 78 inches viscoelastic mattresses) dressed with thick Egyptian cotton linen. Each bathroom has a rain shower system and a range of ecologically friendly amenities. Breakfast can be served either on your room terraces, in the garden or downstairs in the dining room.


La Ferradura


Piece of iron in the shape of an arc that is nailed into the hoof of a horse, a donkey or a mule as a protection.

El Garbell


An old flour mill sieve that is used to sift grains with different sizes letting some pass through whilst retaining others.

This space was once the old kitchen of La Ferreria. The kitchen cupboards have been kept, and the fireplace has been integrated into the bathroom.

This room faces southwest and overlooks the top of Sant Miquel del Mont, Santa Llúcia and the church square.

L’esquella


Sort of small bell that is put around the necks of the animals that guide the herd.

Part of this space was the sausage curing chamber and the farm pantry.

This room has a wide private terrace with two separate areas, a chill-out space and a dining area. The room faces north and overlooks the Pyrenees range and the hotel gardens.
 
The terraces of L’Esquella and El Rastell rooms can be connected for common use.

Rake-like tool with two lines of teeth used to collect cereal ears, grass, etc.

This room is placed in the oldest part of the building.

The room has a wide private terrace with two separate areas, a chill-out space and a dining area. It overlooks the Pyrenees range and the old rectory of Santa Margarida de Bianya.

El Jou


The yoke is a piece of wood or iron in the shape of a broken line that provides the structure to be fastened over the necks of two animals.

This space was once the farm barn.

The room faces south and overlooks the church square and the top of Sant Miquel del Mont. Wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
 
The second floor can be converted into one apartment, joining El Jou, La Corriola, the hall and the terrace.

La Corriola


And old pulley wheel that has a grooved side, that rolls around its axle, so that a rope can easily run through it. By pulling the rope, the direction of force can be changed.

This space was the estate owner’s summer room in the 19th century.

Suite Barcadura


Mountain pass located in between of the Serra de Malforat and the mountain of Sant Tomàs. The pass is an old crossroad that was used to connect the neighbouring valleys.

Suite Capsacosta


Standing at 1.100m tall, Capsacosta’s mountain links the areas of la Garrotxa and el Ripolles. The Roman Road (Via Romana) crosses through the Capsacosta Valley (Coll de Capsacosta), which in bygone years used to connect the Pyrenees with the Roman harbour in Empúries.
